About Us

Fred started Fred’s back in 1972 on dougall & Cabana, for 3 years. We moved to our current location (2144 Huron Church) in a small roadside stand in 1975 for 3 years. Fred moved to his longstanding location at 3336 Huron Church in 1978 where Fred and his father Fred Sr. started business up in a roadside stand combined with The Terrace motel. In 1987 the motel was torn down and a NEW Fred’s Farm Fresh building was built with concrete blocks and mortar which would be the Fred’s Farm Freshhome until we were forced out for the highway in Dec. 2010. Fred’s Farm Fresh started construction on thier new building at 2144 Huron Church in June 2011.

After a year and half of being closed down, we re-opened our greenhouse on Mothers day 2012 and officially re-opened our store June 15th 2012. The move was a difficult and lengthy process but worth the wait and hard work as we now have a new beautiful structure to work in.

Old Stand

Our new store is double the size and is open and airy. Skylights throughout liven up the atmosphere. We have double the butcher and deli selection, hundreds of imported and domestic cheeses . Our Grocery section has tripled in size and we offer local products, imported goods, organic, gluten free, a variety of rare and unusual items as well. Our produce section is even greater than before offering more organic selection, always local when available, and many exotic ethic offerings as well.
